The encounter between tradition, change and continuous improvement
In the early eighties, the facility operated as a milk collection center in the area and were run under co-operative. In 1990, the center underwent a series of restructurings that the idea to assemble a cheese factory. Just a year after appearing the first time, the mark QUESO MONTEFRIEÑO.

By 1999, track changes in the organizational structure, finally going to be a limited company with a family character. Since then, QUESO MONTEFRIEÑO, SL, has had two main objectives: firstly, to promote their products in Spain to meet demand while direct and retail in the factory, and on the other, maintaining a close relationship with their clietes, through and respond to their changing needs. From the beginning, one idea has remained, in essence, completely oblivious to the change, and is to maintain over time the tradition of always making their products in order to provide a quality item for being pampered in their manufacture.
QUESO MONTEFRIEÑO is therefore an exquisite handmade product, made from traditional recipes. Thus, the filling and pressing is manual, although the milk is pasteurized. Moreover, our cheese is distinguished by very good come from milk, extracted by farmers in the area, indigenous goat breed Murcia-Granada very abundant in the region of the Western Mountains. The transport of milk is performed in isothermal tanks, thus keeping it in perfect condition until the cheese.
Continuing the tradition and philosophy double continuous improvement, QUESO MONTEFRIEÑO SL has gained its product portfolio with the launch of goat cheese from raw milk, which we, frankly, is total satisfaction for our customers, present and future.
